Last week, police officers from the Lesse and Lhomme area carried out several searches in the provinces of Namur, Luxembourg and in the Brussels region. It is our colleagues from the Future who reveal the information. The operation dismantled a major drug trafficking network. Seven suspects were arrested, five of whom were placed under arrest warrant.
The seizure is impressive: 5.5 kg of cannabis, 700 grams of hashish, 35 grams of cocaine, as well as €1,800, three vehicles, four firearms and 19 mobile phones.
46 police officers mobilized
46 police officers were mobilized over two days. Neighboring police areas and the federal police provided support. The Houille-Semois police zone also took part, as part of the “Skyroc” collaboration which has united the two zones for more than two years.
The investigation was started at the end of November 2021. It made it possible to trace the trail of a structured organization which supplied drugs to various points of sale located in the valleys of the Lesse and the Lhomme.
Some suspects were already known to the police and the courts.
