Sony’s new PS5 console model has been certified by the Japanese government, little change but at least new PS5 consoles can be bought | T Kebang

According to Japanese netizens, Sony may announce all the details of the new PS5 model (CFI-1200) soon, but you don’t need to expect too many changes. What is certain for now is that Sony may improve the performance of the PS5 by redesigning the cooling.

Last year the first PS5 revamped model (CFI-1100) appeared, with a new screw, an improved chassis and cooling system. Sony installed a smaller heatsink, but this change turned out to be effective in boosting the PS5’s operating efficiency.

It is possible that Sony will continue to launch new PS5 models, as the PS5 (CFI-1200) has already been registered in Japan. The news comes from the Twitter account Zuby_Tech, who even exposed the specifications of the new PS5, but for now we still need to wait for the official announcement from Sony.

There are plenty of indications right now that this won’t be an upgraded PS5, so don’t expect a PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro. However, according to reports, Sony wants to replace the 7nm+ SOC of the PS5 console with TSMC’s 6nm process. While this shift won’t bring new qualities or effects to the game, it will at least allow Sony to produce more PS5 consoles.
