The official representative of BMW in Russia recalls 866 X1 and X2 crossovers due to possible problems with seat belts. All cars were produced from January to March 2022. This was reported by the press service of Rosstandart on Wednesday, May 11.
“The affected vehicles were equipped with front seat belts (driver side and passenger side) which may have suffered damage to the gas microgenerator during manufacture. A damaged gas microgenerator in an emergency can lead to a negative impact on the containment function, ”the message says.
Owners of potentially dangerous cars will receive notifications of unscheduled maintenance in the near future. The dealerships of the company will check all cars and, if necessary, replace the seat belts free of charge.
