Do you remember the case where members of the Yecheon-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do council, while going to overseas training, assaulted a guide and caused a scandal?

At that time, two members of the military were expelled, but controversy is rising as they say they will run once more this time.

Correspondent Kim Seo-hyun reported.

Last December 2018,

Rep. Park Jong-cheol of Yecheon-gun, who left for overseas training in Canada, assaulted the guide there.

Do-sik Kwon, who was with us, asked us to lead us to a bar where a female waitress appeared.

The local police were dispatched, and the incident, which caused international disgrace, became known through MBC reports.

After returning to Korea, Park Jong-cheol and Kwon Do-sik were expelled from their fellow lawmakers who had gone on overseas training together and lost their parliamentary positions.

Now, three years have passed, these two people once more stood in front of the people of Yecheon.

He said he would run for the Yecheon County Councilor election and registered as an independent preliminary candidate in his own constituency in the past.

Just a month ago, I told reporters that I had no intention of running for office, but that was reversed.

Former lawmaker Kwon Do-sik appealed, “Give me another chance,” saying, “I just haven’t been able to decide whether to run for office or not.”

“I am very sorry. I will work harder in the future to repay the people of Yecheon.”

I went to the election office of Jong-cheol Park registered with the National Election Commission, but there was no one in the building at the level of an abandoned house.

” ……”

“After the beep sound because there is no connection…”

At that time, the citizens of Yecheon-gun, who had been severely hurt by the nationwide boycott of agricultural products, cannot hide their anger at the news of running for re-election.

“The fact that even if you commit a crime, you come out to politics… because young people still remember it…”

And there are voices of concern whether there will be a nationwide outrage once more.

“You shouldn’t blame the accident, you can’t say that you did well or did well. If I might properly show my reflection (by not running for office) this time…”

In addition to these two people, 5 of the 7 members of Yecheon County who trained together at the time of the excommunication will run once more in this local election.
