Pictured: A dangerous electoral precedent… Boxes that will not be sorted on May 15?!

In a dangerous and strange precedent that may disrupt the democratic and normal course of Lebanon’s elections, it seems that some of the expatriate ballot boxes will be delayed until following May 15, the date of completion of the elections in Lebanon.

DHL, which is in the process of transporting ballot boxes from abroad to Lebanon, announced that some ballot boxes are expected to arrive in Lebanon on May 17, two days following the end of the voting process in Lebanon next Sunday, which contradicts the path that must be completed in terms of transparency. The election.

Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required to rectify this issue immediately and to make sure that the ballot boxes arrive immediately in Lebanon so that they can be counted on the evening of May 15, along with the rest of the ballot boxes designated for residents’ voting, so that the elections are not marred by any question marks.
