On the morning of the 11th, the second day of his inauguration, President Yoon Seok-yeol made his first way to work from his private residence in Seocho-gu, Seoul to the office of President Yongsan.

President Yoon left his private residence in Seocho-dong around 8:20 am on the same day and arrived at the Yongsan office at 8:32 am.

The president’s way to work that day was to cross the Han River via Banpo-daero and use Noksapyeong-daero to reach Yongsan’s office. In the future, the President’s route to work will change every day due to security issues.

The straight-line distance from the residence in Seocho-dong to the Yongsan office is regarding 7 km, and considering that it usually takes regarding 15 minutes to travel during rush hour, there was no traffic jam.

President Yoon will be commuting from his private residence in Seocho-dong for regarding a month until the remodeling of the Foreign Minister’s Office in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul is completed.

Some have raised concerns that the president’s commute to work from Seocho-dong to Yongsan passes through the middle of Seoul, which will aggravate traffic congestion during commuting hours.
