New firmware for AirPods Gen2, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max

Apple is taking advantage of the evening to deploy a handful of new firmware for certain models in the range AirPods.

Headphones AirPods Pro, AirPods Gen2and the helmet AirPods Max all inherit from this evening a unique firmware numbered 4E71. This internal software replaces version 4C165 common to AirPods Max and AirPods Gen2, and AirPods Pro. As usual for its headphones and headsets, Apple did not specify what new features were actually available.

To check the firmware of your AirPods/Pro/Max , just go to the Settings of iOS, then General, Informations and finally AirPods/Pro/Maxthe information is in front of the line Version of internal programor via Settings/Bluetooththen touching the icon Information. This requires that the earphones/headphones are connected to the iOS device, and the update will be done automatically (patience).
