This weekend was far from being a long calm river on the side of the Xbox teams. Indeed, many problems have disrupted the proper functioning of the various services of the green brand. For example, many players might no longer even access their games, whether they own them or via the Xbox Game Pass.
A fix on the way
If the situation has improved, the weekend has crystallized all the criticism regarding the verification system of Xbox. Even players who listed their Xbox as their primary console might be affected by the issues. To overcome this, Microsoft teams indicate that a patch will be deployed shortly:
We’ve seen significant improvement to the issue that has prevented some users from purchasing and launching games. We expect full mitigation in the coming days with the roll out of a new update.

We have seen significant improvements regarding this issue which has prevented some users from buying and playing games. We expect a full resolution in the next few days with the deployment of a new update.
However, we do not yet have the details of this update, or its future impact on the checks that Microsoft services carry out when each game is launched. We will therefore have to wait a little longer to see if the problem returns, during that Microsoft might consider a more permanent solution in the future, as this kind of system trouble has already happened in the past.
