Lawyer for the victim of medical error at the Eye Hospital: Health is being investigated and we will not waive its right

Farid Galal, the lawyer for Marina’s family, the victim of a medical error in a Cairo hospital, said that they wrote a report regarding the incident in the Nozha Department in Cairo, and the investigation authorities began their investigations into the incident.

The lawyer for the victim’s family added to the seventh day, that the Ministry of Health is investigating the incident, and that they will not waive its right.

A source at the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that an urgent investigation will be opened into the death of the young girl, Marina Salah Sarkis, in a private eye hospital in Cairo, as a result of medical complications she suffered while undergoing dye rays on her eye.

Marina’s story comes back, when she went for dye rays a few days ago on her eye in a famous eye hospital, before she went out, collapsed, and resorted to her husband and told him: “I am going to die,” according to what her husband said through their accounts on the social networking site Facebook.

Marina remained on ventilators following the brain was injured and the heart stopped, and she went to another hospital, because the hospital that caused her illness as a result of not doing an allergy test for her before the rays, according to the parents’ version, did not have intensive care.
