Death of Jethro Lazenby. Nick Cave loses 30-year-old son.

Jethro Lazenby, son of musician Nick Cave, has died at the age of 30. The father has already lost his second child.

“It is with great sadness that I confirm that my son Jethro has passed away,” he said «The Independent» a statement by the musician. “Please respect our family’s privacy during this time.”

The actor and model’s death comes seven years following Nick Cave lost his son Arthur at the age of 15. The teenager fell off a cliff in Brighton.

According to The Independent, Jethro Lazenby was arrested last month following he admitted assaulting his mother, model Beau Lazenby. The incident happened at her home in Melbourne.

He is said to have kicked his mother in the face with his knee.

Jethro Lazenby then left the house and called the police at a local pub to turn himself in. The 30-year-old had previously been diagnosed with schizophrenia. He had been released from prison two days before his death.
