The cultural village “Katara” in the Qatari capital, Doha, will witness, on Tuesday, the conclusion of the promotional tour of the original version of the FIFA World Cup, regarding six months before the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The closing ceremony will be held on the shores of Doha Bay, and will include cultural, entertainment and singing activities, in preparation for the launch of the cup on a regional and global tour, according to the Anatolia correspondent.
Fans will participate in the closing ceremony, in the presence of prominent sports figures, including Cafu, one of the legends of Brazilian football, who won the World Cup twice with his country.
The promotional tour for the World Cup will continue between May 5 and 10, and has varied between areas that include official and cultural institutions, and public places that contain entertainment destinations.
This tour is an opportunity for fans and families to watch the cup that will be contested by 32 teams, two of which will play the final match of the Qatar World Cup at Lusail Stadium on December 18.
Khaled Ali Al-Mawlawi, Deputy Director General for Marketing, Communication and Championship Experience at the Qatar Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, expressed his happiness with the festive atmosphere that accompanied the promotional tour during the Eid holiday (Al-Fitr), which witnessed a wide audience interaction.
Al-Mawlawi continued, in statements on the committee’s website on Monday, that “the promotional tour of the original cup, which was launched across Qatar during the Eid holiday, has achieved remarkable success.”
And he added, “It witnessed a large participation of football fans and the general public, and it reinforced the enthusiastic atmosphere in which we live these days, with less than 200 days remaining until the launch of the largest sporting event in the Arab world and the region.”
Qatar will witness another round of the original Cup of the World Cup, which will conclude in Doha, before the whistle of the opening match of the tournament begins at Al-Bayt Stadium on November 21.
The World Cup is the most important and largest tournament in the world of football, and Qatar’s version of the tournament will be the most closely spaced in the history of the World Cup.
The eight tournament stadiums are located within an hour’s drive from central Doha, providing fans with an unparalleled opportunity to attend more than one match in one day during the group stage.

This edition of the tournament is the first in the Arab world and the Middle East, and provides a unique platform to introduce the world to Qatar and the Arab world.
