Records disseminated by social networks show what the aggression once morest those mobilized during the night and early morning would be.
The students, in conversation with Radio Bío Bío, assured that the situation lasted for several hours, which is why they call it a concerted action by the guards.
They affirm that it all started with provocations and insults, to later lead to attacks on the educational campus.
“Apparently the municipal guards were prepared to attack us, because at that moment they began to throw pellets, paint pellets and even attacked us with Molotov cocktails. and that lasted all night”, assured Miguel Vargas, member of the spokesperson for the INBA Student Assembly.
After that, as he indicated, they had the support of health brigades. “It was a premeditated attack once morest the INBA takeover,” he reiterated.
Given what happened, he announced that they will file legal actions once morest those responsible and that they contacted the municipality, from where they would have been told that they would initiate an internal investigation.
“We are going to make a complaint once morest the subcontracting company to which these guards belong, because acts of violence once morest young people, many of them minors, cannot go unpunished,” he added.
Take demands
Vargas explained that the taking of the establishment is to sue “decent food”where the minutes meet nutritional standards. “Especially because we are a boarding school, our classmates live here and it cannot be that they have poor nutrition, that they go hungry”, explained one of the mobilized.
They also ask for improvements in infrastructure and assure that the municipality proposed repairs for 2024, which they described as unusual.
On sexual and comprehensive education, he said that they received a fairly broad proposal both at the high school and community levels.
Advances that they also achieved in psychosocial support, where they would have promised to hire a new psychologist and a replacement professional staff.
Tomorrow the representatives of the INBA students will hold a meeting of the work table with the authorities of the Mineduc.
In this regard, the Minister of Education, Marco Ávila, stressed that they are a bridge to establish the dialogue between the supporter and the students.
In the same way, he stressed that “the establishments have internal regulations of school coexistence that allow them to establish sanctions when events occur that are outside the normative frameworks or school coexistence.”
BioBioChile contacted the municipality of Santiago to find out if they are aware of the students’ complaint and what measures they will adopt, but they indicated that, for the moment, they will not refer to the fact.
