Ihab Jalal: If we need Abdullah Al-Saeed, he will not be late

Ihab Galal, coach of the Egyptian national team, revealed the scenes of his communication with Mohamed Salah and Abdullah Al-Saeed’s position on joining the team despite his international retirement, indicating that he asks the media for mutual respect.

“We respect the sports media, as it is a very essential element for us, like the public, to help the Egyptian national team,” Ihab Galal said, during his presentation to the media.

He added, “There must be support from the press in Egypt, which we respect a lot, and there must be mutual respect.”

On the fact that he was considering resigning from the Egyptian national team training before assuming the task, Ihab Galal stressed: “I am not a good follower of any criticism, not everyone will agree on opinions, we must support each other in order to achieve success.”

Ihab Galal revealed his position on the assisting apparatus, saying: “I asked for the continuation of the assisting apparatus, Muhammad Shawky would have been with me the last time when I was coaching the national team.”

He continued, “When I was asked regarding the device, I requested the continuation of Essam El-Hadary, given what he added to the goalkeeper’s position with the national team and gave an excellent performance, as he is a great coach as well.”

Regarding his position on Abdullah Al-Saeed, the captain of Pyramids, Ihab Galal explained: “If he continues at the level he offers and we need his services in the Egyptian national team, we will try to persuade him to retract his decision to retire from international football, and I do not think he will have a problem with that.”

He continued: “There has already been contact with Mohamed Salah, and I wish him success with his team, and we hope to crown him with all the championships and come to help the team in a high spirit. He has a very big role with us.”

In response to the question, “Will it be a passing mission with the national team?”, Ihab Jalal completed, saying: “I know that the Football Association has a big project, and this is an important thing. Technically it is.”

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian team will start its campaign in the African Nations qualifiers once morest Guinea and Ethiopia in the first and second rounds of Group D, scheduled for 2 and 6 June.
