Before crossing the border, Jill Biden met with refugee families at an emergency aid center in Kosice, in eastern Slovakia.
This is the most recent visit to Ukraine by senior US officials in recent weeksfollowing those of the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, as well as that of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
