Brutal slam death metallers ORGANICTOMY have announced that their new album “Nail Below Nail” will be released on July 8th via Unique Leader Records.
Guitarist Sam McRobert comments: “We are extremely excited to announce our third studio album, Nail Below Nail, out July 8th through Unique Leader Records! We firmly believe that following three long years in development, this album is our finest work to date, and we have used our downtime to bring you twelve tracks of pure, sickening brutality.”
“Nail Below Nail” is a thrashing record of hard-hitting Death Metal that delves deep into a sadistic sci-fi horror tale of incomprehensible violence and destruction. Lyrically themed around visions of blood, excess and torture, as well as the extreme lengths the human spirit will go to when confronted with entities beyond its dimensional perception. The album’s monolithic riffs wrap themselves in endless stretches of mountainous groove and atmosphere in an impressive display of skill and songwriting that never compromises on brutality.
Once once more the band teamed up with mix/master titans Miguel Tereso of Demigod Recordings, with Troy Kelly recording drums at The Armory Recording Studio in Wellington, New Zealand. Guitars, bass and vocals were recorded by Alex Paul and Sam McRobert. The stunning artwork was created by Par Olofsson and the photography by Ollie Hudson.
Hailing from Christchurch City, New Zealand, ORGANECTOMY have been an unstoppable force at the forefront of New Zealand’s slam and death metal scenes since first appearing on stage more than a decade ago.
Formed in 2010, ORGANECTOMY’s brand of “brutal slamming death metal” embraces many aspects of the death metal spectrum, from old school to technical, and fuses them with modern slam in a twisted, decimating cacophony of pure brutality.
After some early demos and an EP, the band released their acclaimed debut album, Domain Of The Wretched, in 2017 and then signed to Unique Leader Records. In 2019, the band followed with the release of their second album, Existential Disconnect, and embarked on a tour of the US and Canada.
