Russia announces it has destroyed several airfields in western Ukraine

In southwestern Ukraine, airfields in the regions of Artsyz, near Romania, Odessa – a major Ukrainian port on the Black Sea – and Voznessensk, north of Mykolaiv, were targeted, announced Saturday evening the Russian Defense Ministry.

G7 heads of state to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky this Sunday

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is due to take part in the videoconference meeting of the leaders of the G7 major powers on Sunday to discuss the situation in his country, where the fate of the last besieged in the strategic port of Mariupol remains uncertain.

The last civilians were evacuated from the Azovstal factory

Saturday evening in his daily message, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said: “we have evacuated civilians from Azovstal”, referring to the number of 300 exfiltrated people. Now, “we are now preparing the second phase (…): the wounded and the medical personnel”.
