Game Director Robin Henkys unveils Albion’s next major content update.

Our previous Devblog revealed some of the new features and improvements coming to Albion Online in 2022. In this video, Game Director Robin Henkys announces many of these features in the upcoming content update. To hell.

Global Magic Staff Rework

  • Fiery, Holy, Wood, and Cursed Staves will undergo a global overhaul in this update
  • This includes new animations, visual effects, sounds, and even a few new spells
  • Mystic and frost staffs will also be reworked in the patch following the update

New Crystal Arena and Crystal League Improvements

  • New arena mode with Crystal League match rules
  • Also will be added Crystal league with no death matches in addition to the existing Crystal League with deathmatches
  • These new systems will make it easier for players to enter the Crystal League and develop their skills without worrying regarding gear costs.

Recycling locks

  • The visual component, the scheme and the combat process of the castles will be completely updated
  • Castles and castle outposts will also have new loot chests
  • These chests will be available throughout the day, resulting in constant activity

Dynamic events

  • Will be added to the game daily events
  • They will encourage participation in certain activities – such as the Gates of Hell or cursed dungeons.
  • Besides, short-term crafting bonuses revitalize the market and add new dynamics to the game

Outland Travel Improvements

  • “Into the Hell” will make moving across Outland more convenient and affordable for new players
  • New portal cities represent a safe point among unfriendly lands
  • New skill for horses ‘The way back’ reduces the time spent on a long journey when returning

Other improvements

  • Emotions of victory allow players to celebrate their PvP successes
  • Training dummies on private islands
  • Hints on the exits from the location
  • Improvements group interface
  • And much more…

Other features mentioned in Dev diary regarding plans for 2022, such as solo Avalon Paths and the new Guild Finder interface, are still in development and will be introduced in a future update. Details are expected by the beginning of season 16.
