A Buckingham Palace spokesman confirmed, in a statement, Friday, the absence of Queen Elizabeth II’s son Prince Andrew and her grandson Harry and his wife Megan, from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, during a military parade that will be launched next June to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the throne.

Queen Elizabeth II’s son Prince Andrew, grandson Harry and his wife Megan will miss the balcony of Buckingham Palace during a military parade that will begin early next month celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the throne.
And the 96-year-old Queen decided to limit the attendance to members of the royal family in the official appearance, following a military parade that will be organized to celebrate her birthday.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said in a statement on Friday that the only people who will appear alongside the Queen on the balcony on June 2 are “members of the royal family who are performing official duties on her behalf”.
He added that the decision was taken “following careful consideration”.
It had been speculated that the three might attend the four-day event of the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations, including tea parties, a pop concert and a public parade in central London.
