Russian forces destroyed three bridges in the northeast of the country to curb a Ukrainian counteroffensive
In an invasion update posted on Facebook, the Ukrainian army general staff said Russian forces had destroyed three bridges around Tsyrkuny and Rusky Tyshky, near the city of Kharkiv.
“The occupiers blew up three road bridges in order to slow down the counter-offensive action of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” the statement said.

According to the Ukrainian army, regarding 25,100 Russian soldiers have died in Ukraine since the start of the offensive
The Ukrainian armed forces, relayed by the online media Kyiv Independent, said on Saturday that around 25,100 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since the start of the invasion launched by Moscow on February 24.
In addition to these human losses, there are material losses. 1122 tanks, 199 planes, 155 helicopters, 90 cruise missiles or 1934 vehicles were also destroyed.
Also on Saturday, British intelligence said Moscow was paying “a heavy price” in Ukraine, and was suffering significant material losses. These will make it difficult to reconstitute a full army at the end of the conflict, especially as the country is now subject to significant sanctions.

More than 10,000 alleged war crimes are currently being investigated
The office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova said on Saturday that more than 10,000 alleged war crimes committed in Ukraine by the Russian army are currently under investigation.
10,257 cases have been recorded, and 223 children have died in Ukraine since Russia launched its invasion on February 24.

G7 leaders to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky this Sunday

British intelligence says Russia takes ‘heavy toll’ in Ukraine
In its daily update posted on Twitter, British intelligence spoke of the significant material losses suffered by Russia in Ukraine.
“At least one T-90M, Russia’s most advanced tank, was destroyed in combat. The T-90M was introduced in 2016 and features reinforced armor, an improved gun and efficient satellite navigation systems,” says the press release.
Moreover, “the conflict in Ukraine takes a heavy toll on the most advanced equipment. It will take considerable time as well as large sums of money for Russia to be able to reconstitute its army following the conflict”, declare intelligence services.

UN Security Council statement on Ukraine does not mention ‘war’, ‘conflict’ or ‘invasion’
This Friday, the UN Security Council issued its first statement regarding the war in Ukraine, without however mentioning the terms “war”, “conflict” or “invasion”.

Azovstal: new evacuations expected this Saturday
This Friday, 50 civilians were evacuated thanks to a new humanitarian convoy on Friday from the huge Azovstal factory, the last pocket of resistance of Ukrainian forces in Mariupol, a port city besieged by Russian troops, announced Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
“Today we managed to get 50 women, children and elderly people out of Azovstal. Tomorrow morning we will continue the evacuation operation,” Iryna Vereshchuk announced on Telegram on Friday.
The Russian Ministry of Defense specified for its part that eleven children, out of these fifty civilians, had been evacuated.
