Lenovo introduces its new Yoga laptops and a stunning swivel-screen all-in-one

Lenovo is taking advantage of this month of but to renew its range of Yoga laptops with seventh generation machines. But the Chinese manufacturer does not stop there and presents an all-in-one model whose 27-inch IPS 4K screen can swivel in a horizontal or vertical position according to your needs.

No Intel processor in the Yoga AIO 7, but an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H Mobile or Ryzen 7 6800H Mobile chip depending on the configuration. To beef up the display, it is possible to add an AMD Radeon RX 6600M graphics card. The machine accommodates 16 or 32 GB of RAM, as well as 256 GB to 1 TB of PCIe SSD storage. Note also the presence of a 5 megapixel webcam which has the distinction of being detachable. On the other hand, Lenovo has not chosen the very latest wireless communication standards and it will be necessary to be satisfied with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

A top-of-the-range 14-inch model with OLED screen

After this interlude, let’s get back to the new laptops. The most expensive machine in this new batch is the Yoga Slim 9i. This is due to the presence of a 14-inch 16:10 OLED touchscreen which, depending on the configuration, comes in 2.8K (2880 x 1800 pixels) or 4K (3840 x 2400 pixels) versions. However, the advertised brightness seems a bit limited (400 nits).

Music lovers will appreciate the presence of a Bowers & Wilkins system consisting of four speakers (2 x 2W and 2 x 3W).

Less than a kilogram on the scale

Lenovo is also launching an ultra-light 13-inch laptop (less than 1 kg), thanks to a magnesium alloy chassis. The Yoga Slim 7i Carbon features a 13.3-inch IPS 2.5K (2560 x 1600 pixel) display that may or may not be touch-enabled depending on configuration.

The machine has an Intel Core i7-1260P or Core i5-1240P processor, 8 to 32 GB of RAM and 256 GB to 1 TB of PCIe SSD storage.

The Yoga Slim 7i Carbon laptop is available in three colors and will be sold by the end of June from 1199 euros.

The choice between an Intel or AMD processor

Let’s continue this overview with models that are available in AMD or Intel versions. This is the case with the Yoga Slim 7 Pro X and 7i Pro X (the i indicates the version with an Intel chip). These 1.37 kg laptops have a 14.5-inch 3K IPS screen (3072 x 1920 pixels) at 120 Hz, with touch option.

You have a wide choice of processors: Intel Core i7-12700H, Intel Core i7-12650H, Intel Core i5-12500H, AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS Creator Edition, AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS Creator Edition or AMD Ryzen 5 6600HS Creator Edition. It is even possible to add an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. The equipment is completed by 16 or 32 GB of RAM and a 512 GB or 1 TB SSD.

14 inch screen, but also 16 inch

Lenovo is also announcing the Yoga Slim 7 Pro and 7i Pro which are available in 14-inch or 16-inch versions, with Intel (Core i5 or twelfth generation Core i7) or AMD (Ryzen 9, 7 or 5) processors.

You are spoiled for choice for screens with 14-inch IPS 2.2K or 2.8K (60 Hz, 90 Hz or 120 Hz depending on the configuration), or even OLED 2.8K (2880 x 1800 pixels). In 16 inches, Lenovo only offers 2.5K IPS (2560 x 1600 pixels) touchscreen. Depending on the model, an Nvidia (GeForce MX550, RTX 2050, RTX 3050, RTX 3050Ti) or Intel Arc A370M graphics card may be present to speed up the display. The equipment also includes 8 to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of PCIe SSD storage.

The 14-inch Yoga Slim 7 Pro and Slim 7i Pro 14-inch laptops will be sold by the end of August and the end of July respectively from 999 euros and 1099 euros. The 16-inch versions will cost from 1499 euros and 1599 euros.
