[골닷컴] Correspondent Choi Dae-hoon = Thibaut Courtois vowed not to be vigilant while buying Liverpool, the Champions League final opponent, highly.

Real Madrid defeated Manchester City 3-1 in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final of the 2021-22 season held at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid, Spain on the 5th at 4 am (Korean time).

Real Madrid did a miracle. They lost 3-4 in the first leg and needed a comeback, but in the 28th minute of the second half, Riyad Marez conceded a goal, which intensified their defeat. However, in the second half, Rodrygo scored two goals in extra time to make the overall score 5-5, and Karim Benzema scored a penalty kick in the first five minutes of extra time to dramatically advance to the final.

Courtois, who made eight saves and stopped Manchester City’s offensive in the second half, was highly praised by Liverpool, the final opponent. “Liverpool have been playing amazing this season, so it’s going to be a really tough game,” he told Bein Sports.

Liverpool are challenging the quadruple this season. He has already won one championship and is aiming to win three championships, including the Champions League. “We have the advantage of being able to rest really well for the Champions League final,” Courtois said. But Liverpool have to play to win the Premier League, so it will be a little more difficult.”

But Courtois was not vigilant. “But we will continue to train hard and do our best to win.”
