Bayern could try Christopher Nkunku in the summer

Christopher Nkunku is undoubtedly one of the most sought-following Bundesliga players in the coming change period. Numerous top clubs have the RB star on their radar – including FC Bayern. According to current media reports, Munich might try to lure the French to the Isar in the summer. However, there is a requirement for this.

As reported by the French “L’Equipe”., Nkunku decided to leave Leipzig at the end of the season and take the next step in his career. RB, on the other hand, is working flat out to extend the contract of the 24-year-old offensive all-rounder. Accordingly, the Saxons would like to offer a new working paper by 2025/2026 and provide it with an opt-out clause. Just like Dayot Upamecano once did.

Leipzig sets pain threshold for a summer transfer

Even if those responsible recently emphasized that they do not want to give up Nkunku in the summer, according to “L’Equipe” there is still a financial pain threshold and this is 100 million euros. From this sum one would be ready to talk.

According to information from the sports newspaper, FC Bayern is closely monitoring the situation of the French national player and is not averse to it, despite the exorbitant fee. However, a prerequisite for a concrete advance is that Munich sell Serge Gnabry or Robert Lewandowski (profitably) in the summer. The two FCB stars are only contractually bound to the record champions until 2023 and are flirting with saying goodbye to the Isar.

According to reports, the Pole would be let go for 40 million euros. At Gnabry, the desired fee is significantly higher. According to “BILD”, the Bayern bosses expect the DFB star to be sold for 60 million euros in the summer.

In addition to Bayern, however, there are other interested parties for Nkunku. Paris Saint-Germain in particular has kept an eye on his former homegrown talent. There should also be several clubs from England that deal with the shooting star.
