The Geneva and Vaudois authorities have had to answer this question hundreds of times since the end of February: when the order is given to occupy the shelters, where should they go? This concern revived by the war in Ukraine is taken seriously by the cantons of Vaud and of Geneva, which have published safety instructions. Sticking to generalities.

On the other hand, it is impossible to know precisely where one should go in the event of an alert. The plan that indicates which shelter each inhabitant would be assigned to is not public. It provides, in the event of an emergency, a place for each person close to his home. These cantonal plans are kept secret and would only be revealed if the situation required it, and on order of the Confederation.
