The Noshiro Cup is a traditional tournament that is held every year during Golden Week and boasts a high level that can be called the “fourth national tournament” and has contributed to the strengthening of high school basketball for many years. However, the tournament was canceled in the last two years due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, but this time it was held for the first time in three years following thorough infection control measures such as limiting the number of spectators.

On the final day, Chubu Daiichi, who won his first victory at the Inter-High School Championships last summer, and Kaishi Kokusai, who won his first victory at the Noshiro Cup held three years ago, both faced undefeated so far. The team that won this match won the championship. It was Chubu University Daiichi who took the lead with 13-12 in the first quarter, which was a development that would be regained if they took each other, but in the second quarter, Kaishi Kokusai’s running play by Anthony Sho Sukegawa (3 years) Ryoma Sawada (2nd year) scored a 3-point shot and gradually expanded his lead.
