Pasta Hawaii: Strange creation of the BBC causes laughter on the net

That was advertised recipe on the page says, “A family-friendly pasta recipe that makes the best of canned goods. “If your kids love Hawaiian pizza, then this ham and pineapple pasta is a great twist for a quick weeknight dinner.”

For the dish, onions are sautéed, garlic and tinned ham cut into pieces are added. Then cream cheese is added for smoothness, before the pineapple – cut into pieces – is added and cooked “until the pineapple pieces are hot”. To get a sauce that sticks to the pasta like carbonara, all the canned juice is added and reduced. Only at the end is seasoned with salt and pepper.

This pineapple juice was particularly horrible for many spaghetti lovers: “I like pineapple on pizza, but pasta has reached a limit for me,” said another user, who then prefers to stay with the well-known Pizza Hawaii combination.
