The Office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian military might launch a counteroffensive in July. The condition for this was the receipt of a large number of Western weapons.
“A counteroffensive is possible with the accumulation of a large amount of Western weapons, which is enough for several brigades,” Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s Office, made such a statement on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel.
He noted that these brigades must be fully re-equipped, trained, and their actions must be coordinated. After that, the Ukrainian military will be able to advance.
“In terms of timing, it will most likely be the end of June – the beginning of July,” he added, noting that the first guns would arrive in late May or early June.
