Bayern player Gravenberch is out for weeks!

Bitter news for Ajax Amsterdam, FC Bayern and especially for Ryan Gravenberch. According to current media reports, the 19-year-old midfielder has been injured and will be out for weeks.

As reported by Mike Verweij from the Dutch Telegraaf, Gravenberch injured his ankle during training at Ajax Amsterdam on Wednesday. Accordingly, the joint had to be plastered in the hospital.

According to Verweij, the youngster’s season is over early. Even if it is “not a serious injury”, the midfielder faces a forced break of up to six weeks.

Bayern transfer continues to falter

The Gravenberch injury comes at a very bad time for Amsterdam. Ajax are only four points ahead of PSV Eindhoven with three games left in the season and have to do without Gravenberch, a key player and top performer.

In Munich, too, the reports from the Netherlands will no doubt be anything but happy. The 19-year-old is regarded as Bayern’s absolute dream player. However, negotiations with Ajax are still very sluggish. According to recent reports, the two clubs remain far apart on the transfer fee. Ajax is demanding 30 million euros, FCB is offering 23 million euros for the Dutch national player, who is only contractually bound to Amsterdam until 2023.
