Emirates News Agency – Russian ruble rises significantly against dollar and euro

Moscow, May 4 / WAM / The exchange rate of the Russian currency “ruble” once morest foreign currencies “the dollar and the euro” during today’s trading, for the first time since June 2020.

By 12:00 Moscow time, according to the data of the Moscow Stock Exchange, the exchange rate of the US dollar once morest the Russian ruble fell by 1.76 rubles to 69.20 rubles, as well as the exchange rate of the single currency “euro” decreased by 1.90 rubles to 72.85 rubles “ruble = 100 kopecks”.

In terms of stock trading, the MICEX ruble-denominated stock index fell 0.02 percent to 2444.67 points, while the dollar-denominated stock index “RTS” rose 0.87 percent to 1,091 points.
