Trucks that do not meet the maximum weight and size allowed for trucks in the country will be fined. A truck can carry a weight of up to two tons. If the load exceeds the allowable weight, a fine of 200 riyals per 100 kg will be levied.

Vehicles weighing two to five tonnes will be fined 300 riyals. The fine for vehicles between five and seven tonnes will be 400 riyals. Vehicles with a permit of 7 to 10 tonnes will be fined 500 riyals and vehicles over 10 tonnes will be fined 800 riyals. Trucks weighing more than 200 kg will be fined 2,000 riyals. Penalties vary depending on the size of the truck. Vehicles that repeat the offense will be fined between 5,000 and 1 lakh riyals.
