Briton Malcolm MacDonald (47) lived through every man’s nightmare. He lost his penis. In 2010, his best piece just fell on the floor following suffering severe blood poisoning.
Thanks to a medical sensation, he now has a new best piece. “I feel like a real man once more,” MacDonald said in a documentary regarding his unusual ordeal, as reported by the New York Post.
In desperation, he turned to a specialist. And he had a special idea. The mechanic was not given a penis prosthesis – the limb replacement grew on his arm. Yes, you heard me right. His new penis formed on his arm.
Operation was repeatedly postponed
Surgeons used skin from MacDonald’s left arm to create a new penis in 2015. The Brit let his new best piece cost 60,000 francs. Once sewn to the arm, the limb would dangle in front of you and should heal there. The doctors actually wanted to move the member to the pubic area followingwards. But it turned out quite differently.
The operation had to be canceled due to a lack of oxygen in the patient’s blood. The penis might not be transplanted into its proper place. That left MacDonald with the artificial limb sticking out of his forearm.
The Brit had to wait a long time for the second operation. Six long years. The date was repeatedly postponed for a variety of reasons. And then Corona came and the intervention was delayed once more.
His arm penis almost hit an elderly woman in the supermarket
For MacDougal, the arm-penis period was horrific. «It was a nightmare. Can you imagine spending six years of your life with a penis on your arm?” he says in the documentary.
No wonder he had to put up with one or the other spell. “People ask me regarding it when they see me in the pub and of course they joke regarding it.”
Once an elderly woman in the supermarket asked him to get an item from the top shelf. When the penis came out from under his sleeve, it nearly hit the woman in the head. Nevertheless, at some point he got used to his special accessory.
“The first thing I did was look down”
Today MacDonald can take the whole story with humor. “Of course I also see the funny side of the story. I have to. I do not have other options”.
MacDonald was finally able to go under the knife earlier this year. The nine-hour operation turned out to be very complex. Nerves and blood vessels were removed from the arm and sewn together in the pubic area to create the blood supply to the artificial penis. The Brit can even pee normally once more with his new best piece. The 47-year-old no longer has to go without sexual intercourse.
The operation was successful and the Brit is clearly happy with the result. “The first thing I did was look down. I thought, my goodness, they did it this time.”
After twelve years without a penis, MacDonald can finally put it to rest. “It’s a turning point in my life.” (ced)
