A source inside Ghazl El-Mahalla Club confirmed that Abdel Hamid Bassiouni, the team’s coach, informed the club’s board chairman of his desire to leave the team to train Smouha following receiving an offer.
Smouha Club is looking for a coach to take over the team’s coaching task, to replace coach Ahmed Sami, who announced his departure from the Alexandrian club by mutual consent.
The source said, in exclusive statements to Laila Koura, that Bassiouni is insisting on leaving to train Smouha during the coming period, to succeed Ahmed Sami.
He explained that Ali Al-Abbasi, president of Ghazl Al-Mahalla Club, is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, which caused the fans’ anger.
He pointed out that Al-Abbasi will return from Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Tuesday, to resolve matters with coach Abdel Hamid Bassiouni and resolve this file.
He confirmed that there are a number of names nominated to succeed Abdel Hamid Bassiouni in the position of Ghazl El Mahalla coach, most notably Rabie Yassin, Petrojet coach, and Abdel Baqi Jamal, coach of Wadi Degla.
