What had to happen happened, but maybe even faster than expected: someone once broke his television while playing tennis in Nintendo Switch Sports.

Do you remember the glorious period following the launch of the Nintendo Wii, when a whole bunch of people accidentally dropped their Wiimote in the direction of their TV, causing countless breakups (and nervous giggles)? Well, it starts once more!

The whole thing is courtesy of last Friday’s release of Nintendo Switch Sportswho wants to be, some fifteen years later, the spiritual successor of Wii Sports. Once once more, we offer to play different sports activities by moving the joysticks of the console, which always have the annoying habit of ejecting from our hand when we do not tighten the strap around our wrist.

Of course, that’s exactly what happened to a streameur by the name of 63man, within 24 hours of launching Switch Sports.

As reported by VGCthe poor gamer vigorously threw one of his Joy-Cons right into his TV during a broadcast on Twitch, seriously damaging the screen.

We feel the deep frustration at 63man, but hey, it must be said, it’s (unfortunately) also a bit comical to see…

Unsurprisingly, it’s not even the only broadcaster to have made the capital mistake of not using the Joy-Con wrist strap. As noticed GamesRadarit also happened to streameur Northerlion. The latter, however, had a little more luck, while his monitor escaped in one piece.

In short, you see us coming.

You bought Nintendo Switch Sports in the last few days? Strap your Joy-Con to your wrists! Your performance might drop by 3-4%, but at least you won’t have to put $1000 on a new TV.

It is said. Consider yourself savvy!
