Russia also participates in APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), which is chaired by Thailand, but at the meeting with Prime Minister Prayut, Prime Minister Kishida said that G7 (seven advanced countries) countries are working on sanctions once morest Russia. It seems that he explained carefully and asked for his understanding.
Prime Minister Kishida also urged the realization of a “free and open Indo-Pacific” with a view to China, which is expanding its influence among Southeast Asian countries, and also on the export of defense equipment from Japan and technology transfer. Also seems to have exchanged opinions.
