The Embassy of Venezuela in the United States, appointed by Juan Guaidó, presented the Labor Connection program, which will facilitate Venezuelans residing in the US access job opportunities.

The initiative, led by Carlos Vecchio, seeks to connect Venezuelan talent, especially those who already have Temporary Protection Status, with the American private sector.

Through a press release, Vecchio explained that Venezuelans interested in participating in the program must register on the Conexión Laboral website. This to connect with potential employers in the North American country.

He indicated that Amazon is one of the companies collaborating with the embassy in this initiative, through Amazon.Jobs.

“Basically we interconnect the talent of our Venezuelan diaspora with the job opportunities of allies or potential employers. The positions are adapted to the professional profile and location of the interested party. And the most useful thing is that they receive it in their email box, once they have registered on the platform”, he stated.

Vecchio clarified that this does not mean that the embassy offers jobs directly or acts as a job manager. “Our sole function and purpose is to serve as a bridge between our valuable diaspora and potential employers in the United States,” he noted.

He stressed that Venezuelans who apply for the Labor Connection program must have an employment authorization document or work permit in order to work legally in the United States.

Steps to register in the Labor Connection program of the Embassy of Venezuela in the US

  1. Enroll in the Single Consular Registry of the Embassy of Venezuela in the United States through https://www.us.embajadavenezuela.org/conexionlaboral/. The login, if ya is registered.
  2. Complete the required information in the professional section.
  3. Authorize receiving information from potential employers. This will allow the interested party to have updated offers of job positions that fit their profile.
  4. Soon the interested You will begin receiving ongoing information regarding available job opportunities. The Embassy recommends applying as soon as possible to the desired position. Some labor allies will request a reference code from the Embassy to indicate that it is Venezuelan talent.
