Washington, DC: US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has assured the Ukrainian President that the United States will remain with Ukraine until its fight once morest Russian occupation is successful.
Pelosi made the assurance during talks with the president following an unexpected visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, on Saturday evening.
This is the first visit by a high-ranking US delegation to Ukraine since the Russian occupation.
We are here to thank the people of Ukraine for their struggle for independence. Pelosi expressed confidence that the fight for justice will succeed.
Prior to Pelosi’s visit, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin paid a surprise visit, but this is the first time a delegation has arrived in Kiev with such a large feature.
On his return from a visit to Kiev, the delegation met with the President of Poland. The U.S. delegation commended Poland for providing asylum to refugees from Ukraine.
Selensky welcomes U.S. support “We will fight together and win together,” Selensky said. Pelosi promised more aid to Ukraine.
