Faced with all these assertions relayed by many media, the Ukrainian Air Force has decided to come out of its reserve. Through his spokesperson Yuriy Ignat, the authorities officially declared that Major Stepan Tarabalka was not the “Ghost of kyiv”, while acknowledging his bravery and confirming that he had received, at posthumously, the highest military honor, the Order of the Gold Star, with the title Hero of Ukraine.
And to add that:The ghost of Kyiv is alive and embodies a collective image of the highly skilled pilots of the Tactical Aviation Brigade successfully defending Kyiv and its region.“
