The video game year 2022 got off to a flying start with the release in February of Sifu, a martial arts game as enjoyable as it is demanding offered by the French company Sloclap. The fighting title should soon receive its first major update. On the program, options to adjust the difficulty, new patterns for the main bosses and still other new features to come.

It passes or it slams

SIFU is definitely one of the nuggets of the year 2022. Sloclap’s game pays tribute in the best possible way to the greatest martial arts films. Mix of fight and Rogue-lite, Sifu offers a real enjoyable experience… although considered a little too demanding. Wanting above all to satisfy as many people as possible, the French studio intends to rectify the situation by soon offering its game its first major update thanks to which it will be possible to resolve this difficulty.

From May 3, you will be able to set off once more in search of revenge, whatever your level. Players who want to enjoy the story first will have the opportunity to soften their journey, while lovers of a challenge will be able to raise the level of confrontations. But these difficulty options are not the only novelties. Sloclap recently detailed its roadmap for us. Today the studio shares a video detailing this first update.

Always stronger

In concrete terms, what do the “Apprentice” and “Master” difficulties change? As you choose, the enemies will be more or less aggressive, and should be more or less resistant. Sifu works according to a system of “resistance” that must be broken in order to be able to deliver a fatal blow to his enemies. This resistance will therefore be, according to your desire, easier or harder to break. What’s more, the aging system may be less punitive. With each “death”, your character comes back to life with more years. These years increase exponentially with defeats, until they reach game over. The settings will therefore allow you to retire a little more slowly.

The other great novelty also concerns the Bosses. Five in number, Sifu’s major confrontations form the culmination of the game. The Bosses are varied and require both constant concentration, feline reflexes and above all, total control of their movements and your techniques. fights. To spice up these duels and vary the pleasures, these champions will receive new techniques and devastating combos with this update. Enough to push players who have platinum-plated the title to resume service.

Cherry on the cake, it will now be possible to unlock and wear new outfits. As said before, these new features arrive on May 3. Subsequently, Sloclap will further enrich its title with a new Scoring system and gameplay modifiers. In addition, content is planned until next winter.
