Good news for employment: more than 1,600 vacancies this year in the banking sector

The four major Belgian banks alone – BNP Paribas Fortis, KBC, ING Belgium and Belfius – hope to make 1,640 commitments this year, write L’Echo and De Tijd in their Saturday edition.

“It is the first time in years that we have seen such a search for fresh blood in practically all banking departments”underlines a specialist in human resources quoted by L’Echo.

According to preliminary figures from the sector federation Febelfin, Belgian banks recruited 2,550 new employees last year, a quarter more than a year earlier, De Tijd also reads.
