Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Director of the Astronomical Observatory at Majmaah University, Abdullah Al-Khudairi, revealed the conditions for seeing the Shawwal crescent today, and the significance of the sunset of the moon before the sun.
Al-Khudairi said during a telephone interview on the “120” program: “The partial eclipse of the sun and its peak will be at 11:41,” explaining: “The moon will set before the sun, mathematically.”
And he stated that the sunset of the moon before the sun indicates that there is no crescent that is witnessed by the hypothetical until the testimony that he saw the crescent is proven and his testimony is submitted to the Supreme Court.
