An unprecedented shortage of personnel is felt. The needs are great and the hunt for talent is open.
If there is one sector that has suffered from the Covid crisis, it is that of events. Of course, the various companies and independents have done everything to get by by finding creative solutions and now everything is reopened. There remains a big problem facing the event industry: an unprecedented shortage of staff. However, this sector weighs heavily: it has 77,000 events each year (i.e. more than 200 events per day), 3,200 companies and 80,000 employees, half of whom are employees, the others with various statuses. All of these companies and employees generate an annual turnover of approximately 6 million euros.
The organizers and their suppliers who relied half on freelancers, student jobs and volunteers are now struggling to attract them and therefore to fill their schedule.
