“Late Late Show”: James Corden bows out

British host James Corden will not return to helm CBS’s American ‘Late Late Show’, despite the channel’s desire to keep him on, the ‘Daily Mail’ reported on Thursday.

James Corden decided to leave the show at the end of the eighth season in order to spend more time in the UK with his family.

The 43-year-old promised to “go off with a bang” as he explained his choice on the latest episode of his talk show.

“Seven and a half years ago I started hosting this show and there’s no other way to say it, it changed my life,” he said.

And the decision didn’t necessarily please the channel, which tried to get him to stay longer.

“We desperately tried to keep him longer, but James only wanted to do one last year, which will allow him to stay on the show until next year,” a senior source told the media. CBS.

Created in 1995 with host Tom Snyder, the talk show is filmed from Los Angeles. James Corden is the fourth to helm the show, following Craig Kilborn and Craig Ferguson.
