Pope Francis stressed today, in his message during the Wednesday general audience at the Vatican, the importance of an “alliance” between young and old to face this difficult moment that humanity is experiencing.
“In this difficult moment in which humanity is thirsty for peace and brotherhood, it is urgent that the alliance between the elderly and the young be fruitful and lead each one, in their state of life, to be a witness and mediator of God’s blessings among the peoples,” Francis said.
“I ask you to persevere in the incessant prayer for peace. May the weapons be silent so that those who have the power to stop the war hear the cry for peace of all humanity,” added the Pontiff.
