Mr. and Mrs. Chimura, victims of abduction, full comment
At 5:38 am on April 28, my brother Yuyuki Hamamoto fell asleep at the age of 93.
My brother did his best to rescue us abductees during his lifetime.
Thanks to that, we were able to safely return to our homeland of Japan in October 2002.
I don’t think our return would have been possible without my brother’s rescue efforts.
Once once more, I would like to thank my brother from the bottom of my heart.
Following the death of Yaeko Taguchi’s older brother, Shigeo Iizuka, at the end of last year, his older brother also died.
The abduction victims and their families are aging, and there is no time to resolve the abduction issue.
During his lifetime, his brother sincerely hoped that all abductees would be able to return home.
I would like to take over my brother’s will and continue to work on solving the abduction issue in our generation.
