Manuel Rosales’ response
After the comments, Manuel Rosales, governor of Zulia, denied Nicolás Maduro and assured that he and his team are working to attend to the emergency due to the floods in the South of the Lake.
«The Government of Zulia is deployed throughout the South of the Lake, serving the affected communities. We will present the diagnosis to the Federal Council of Government to move forward in order to solve this problem, “said the governor on Twitter.
The message was accompanied by a video in which regional executive machinery and personnel can be seen working in the areas affected by the rains.
Rosales declared an emergency in the south of Lake Maracaibo. Maduro seems not to have known. The governor of Zulia explained that at least 1,000 families were affected by the rainfall in recent weeks.
