Deliberately left out of Malayalam movies, this is the reason: Jayaram

Jayaram is a favorite of the family audience. Entering the film industry with Padmarajan’s ‘Aparan’, the actor has gifted a number of hit films in his 34-year career.

The movie ‘Pattabhiraman’ directed by Kannan Thamarakulam and released in 2019 was the last movie released in Malayalam for the star. But at the same time Jayaram was active in Tamil and Telugu.

After three years, Jayaram is making a comeback in Malayalam with ‘Makal’ directed by Sathyan Anthikkad. The movie will be released in theaters on April 29.

Jayaram is now revealing his reasons for staying away from Malayalam movies. The actor was speaking in an interview with Behind the Woods Ice.

“I deliberately took the gap from Malayalam movies. I wondered if the few mothers, sisters, and brothers who loved me were moving away from me. Because I often had a lot of failures when I felt like it.

They have come back to the theaters at a time when all my films have failed, and when their favorite movies and movies that were meant for me came out.

There are many examples of this. Rajasenan’s movie Anveedu came on the roof while many of my movies were going down. So it gave me back a position that the audience loved. Shortly followingwards, when a number of films failed once more, Akku Akbar’s Just Wife came back and lifted the position.

Even though the film has failed so many times in my 34 year career, the audience has come back to the theaters without abandoning me.

By 2019, I felt like I was going in a way that the audience didn’t like. So for a while I decided not to do movies.

I decided that I would not be doing movies for a long time, especially in Malayalam. I also told my child that when God brings a movie that seems like a spark to the mind, it can be done.

Dad is the best idea, just do it when it comes to stories like that. They also said that sometimes Tamil and Telugu can be done, ”said Jayaram.

Meera Jasmine is all set to return to Malayalam cinema following a hiatus.

Devika Sanjay, Siddique, Innocent, KPAC Lalitha, Sreenivasan, Nuslan K. Gafoor and others will also be seen in the lead roles in the film.

The film is written by Iqbal Kuttipuram. The film is being produced by Central Productions.
