The objective of the session, according to the PCM, is “to work on the Territorial Development Agenda” of the Valley of the Apurímac, Ene and Mantaro Rivers (VRAEM). The regional governors of Ayacucho participate; Carlos Rua; Apurimac, Baltazar Lantaron; Cuzco, Jean Paul Benavente; Huancavelica, Maciste Diaz; and Junin, Fernando Orihuela.
Also attending are district mayors from Andahuaylas and Chincheros (Apurímac), Huanta and La Mar (Ayacucho), La Convencion (Cusco), Churcampa and Tayacaja (Huancavelica) and Llochegua, as well as representatives of native communities and social organizations.

“In this session we will ask the ministers for schedules and dates for the start of projects that the VRAEM expects for more than a decade, such as the completion of the paving of the Tambo-San Francisco highway, the ring roads, the construction of bridges, the solution to the subject of agriculture, among others”, remarked, for his part, the regional governor of Ayacucho, Carlos Rua Carbajal.

“We need conclusions to be reached in this space, which means the start of important investment projects that are on track, but that have been delayed due to bureaucratic aspects in the National Executive,” he added.
During the Cusco session, President Castillo announced the presentation of the draft constitutional reform to convene a constituent assembly. In the previous Huancayo meeting, Prime Minister Aníbal Torres praised the genocidal Nazi Adolf Hitler.
