The vaccination schedule: what is it?
brings together the recommendations applicable to people residing in France according to their age and issues general vaccination recommendations and specific vaccination recommendations specific to specific situations (increased risk of complications, exposure or transmission) or occupational exposure. The Ministry of Health publishes the vaccination schedule following consulting the High Authority for Health (HAS).

Vaccination obligations in the first 18 months of the child
Since 1is January 2018, 11 vaccinations are mandatory in the first 18 months of children born from this date. These are vaccinations once morest diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, whooping cough, haemophilius influenzae B (bacterium causing pneumonia and meningitis in particular), hepatitis B, meningococcus C (bacterium causing meningitis), invasive pneumococcal infections (bacteria causing pneumopathy and meningitis in particular), measles, mumps and rubella. For residents of Guyana, yellow fever, from 1 year.
The news
- Vaccination once morest whooping cough in pregnant women is recommended from the 2e trimester of pregnancy, favoring the period between 20 and 36 weeks of amenorrhea (SA) with a tetravalent (dTcaP);
- Vaccination once morest invasive serogroup B meningococcal infections is recommended for all infants from the age of 2 months and before the age of 2 years: 1re dose at 3 months of age, 2e dose at 5 months and booster dose at 12 months. It is also recommended for family circles of people at high risk of meningococcal infections;
- Vaccination once morest seasonal influenza is now recommended for professionals exposed to porcine and avian viruses at work in order to avoid the transmission of human influenza viruses to animals. It is not a personal protective measure once morest porcine or avian zoonotic viruses;
- The Influvac Tetra influenza vaccine can now be used from the age of 6 months as part of the seasonal influenza vaccination strategy, which consists of preventing severe forms and deaths by vaccinating special populations;
- Since the 2021-2022 seasonal flu vaccination campaign, community nurses and pharmacists can vaccinate all adults, including those who are not targeted by the vaccination recommendations;
- Midwives, community pharmacists and nurses, without prior medical prescription, can administer certain non-living vaccines to people aged 16 and over targeted by vaccination recommendations;
- Vaccines from the vaccination schedule, when prescribed by occupational physicians and school physicians, are now reimbursed by health insurance.

Vaccination recommendations related to travel and stays abroad are the subject of a specific opinion from the High Council for Public Health (HCSP) which are not included in the vaccination schedule, these recommendations being published in the Special issue of Weekly Epidemiological Bulletin (BEH)
