This month, Canadian actor of Mexican descent, Michael Mando, who is known for playing the role of Nacho Varga in the series Better Call Saulpublished a photograph on his Instagram account, in which you can see how he and Miss Universe Chile, Antonia Figueroa, pose together on the red carpet of the premiere of the new season of the sin-off of Breaking Bad.
In an exclusive interview with Las Últimas Noticias, the also former MasterChef participant recounted how she started talking to the artist in 2018, following her sister Sofía caught her attention through social networks.
“She made a really nice mural of him, put it up on Instagram, tagged it, and he contacted us. And so we went to talk on the phone. We talk on WhatsApp and he has called me sometimes out of the blue, because he knows that I know regarding plants, so he asks me things for his garden. It is as if he were a cousin, ”Figueroa explained to the aforementioned medium.
Along with this, he also referred to how they came to meet him in person.
“He had told us several times to go see the recordings of the series in New Mexico. But going is not cheap, and because of the university and then the pandemic it made it difficult for us, but in April we had the opportunity to go and it coincided with the premiere of the last season, ”he declared.
He also explained that “when we met in person it was like having done it forever. She accompanied us at all times. He went to pick us up at the airport, we visited his house. He was like our tour guide there.”
Regarding the time they shared with Mando in the United States, Figueroa said that “we taught him a lot of Chilean things, videos, especially doodles. We bring you a roguish Indian as a gift. And yes, we made him complete”.
