His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received at his office in the Emirate’s Court today, Monday, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Association for Mental Health, Dr. Reem Sherida Al-Amiri and members of the Council.
His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Region stressed the importance of taking care of the mental health of the person and standing by those who are going through psychological problems through qualified specialists who contribute to its treatment and employing the great scientific development in the field of mental health to diagnose and treat cases.
Dr. Reem Al-Amiri presented to His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province an explanation of the association, which aims to provide specialized social, psychological and medical services for psychiatric patients and their families and workers in medical institutions during crises and emergencies through the latest scientific and practical methods.
She added: The association seeks to raise the community’s awareness of psychological and mental illnesses, rehabilitate psychiatric patients to integrate into society, in addition to educating patients’ families to coexist with them, and contributing to improving treatment services provided to each patient according to his condition.
Al-Amiri thanked His Highness, the Governor of the Eastern Province, for his support of the association to achieve its mission and serve the largest possible number of beneficiaries.
