A total of nine medical teams for the treatment of serious cases have been dispatched to eight designated hospitals. The teams are made up of more than 360 specialists with extensive experience in intensive care, the commission detailed at a press conference.

Shanghai has recorded 87 deaths related to the disease in the current outbreak. The oldest of the deceased was 101 years old, and the average age of these was 81.1 years.

Data from the National Health Commission of China indicated that 39 people died this Sunday in the aforementioned city.
